You'll find multiple rounds of trivia every day, with topics ranging from "Friends," to "Carnival" and "Harry Potter." There's also a round of sports trivia every day. (Winners take home a coveted plastic ship on a stick.) Other participatory activities might include a digital scavenger hunt, dodgeball tournaments, hairy chest contests and poker tournaments. That said, we highly recommend looking at the deck plans to see what is above and below your cabin. In our specific case, the noise from other areas of the ship was easily heard in the cabin.

On Carnival Horizon, Deluxe Ocean View staterooms are a great choice for families who want to let the sun shine in as they sail. Rooms of this type feature great views, a full bathroom - plus a separate washroom - and while stateroom configurations vary, certain Deluxe Ocean View rooms have space to sleep up to five cruisers. Naturally, Carnival Horizon will deliver all the best tastes, sights, sounds and experiences cruisers have come to love aboard Carnival’s existing fleet of cruise ships. But our newest vessel also introduces some exciting new features and promises an ocean of fun, whether you cruise to the Caribbean, or The Bahamas.
Family Harbor Aft-View Extended Balcony
Earlier shows tend to be family friendly, but later shows are definitely for adults. (Look at your Fun Times cruise daily to make sure you're not taking the kids to an adult show.) The Limelight Lounge is a large space with lots of seating in deep red armchairs facing a stage. If you don't want to get stuck behind one, get to the show early. Carnival Horizon's wide variety of bars and lounges means the ship is rocking well into the night. Many of the bars are packed after dinner, but finding seats is rarely a problem because passengers naturally gravitate to their favorites, spreading the crowds across multiple venues.
Interior Upper/Lower (Porthole)
Because of all this privacy, the balconies are often more quiet, as well as larger. Of course, when you have such brand-new outdoor entertainment options on a cruise ship, you can’t miss a chance to try them out. We’re primarily talking about the SkyRide experience on Carnival Horizon, which first premiered on Carnival Vista, to rave reviews. Of course, you also have the ocean, grand, junior and Cloud 9 spa suites, that are all similar to what you might find across the family of Carnival cruise ships. Ocean-view cabins with balconies are the most popular, with nearly 900 of the cabins total being made up of this accommodations option.

Often cruise lines offer special rates that cannot be displayed to the general public. By registering with Cruise.com you will be able to view these special rates and offers. For relaxing times, check out The Library , where great literature meets great wine! This intimate wine lounge features state-of-the-art self-serve dispensers. So swing by, pour yourself a bit of vino and unwind with quiet conversation, a board game, or by simply plucking a new book off the shelves for a good read. Grab something downright refreshing at Shake Spot, where we offer more than just your average shake.
Grab a drink or order some snacks — they’re great while kicking back and watching your favorite teams on one of the big screens, or just dropping by to check out real-time scores and headlines on the panoramic ticker. And if you’re feeling lucky, feel free to grab a controller and get a little competitive with the latest sports game titles. They’re free to play, so find a friend or three and get set for some serious play-action. But SkyRide is also completely unlike riding a bike, because when was the last time you biked around a ship, high above the deck and even higher above the sparkling blue sea?

Every space is fun, but the vibe -- and beverage offerings -- at each is refreshingly different. According to Carnival’s specifications on their website, the room measures 185 square feet. This cabin is also a connecting stateroom with a door that can be opened to effectively turn two rooms into one large suite.
It offers both indoor and outdoor seating and the menu includes steamed lobster, lobster rolls, fried shrimp, fried clams, crab cakes, and other seafood surprises. Seafood Shack serves lunch and dinner and is priced a la carte starting at $4. The spa also features a good-sized Thermal Suite, featuring steam rooms (including aroma and hammam), dry heat chambers, experience showers and a large whirlpool.
Featuring a standard-size balcony, in a Carnival Horizon Junior Suite you'll find everything else there is to love about a suite, including VIP check-in, a walk-in closet... Carnival's partnership with Dr. Seuss adds something special to the ship, beyond simply the cool and colorful WaterWorks. Under the Seuss at Sea programming, there's also a fantastical Dr. Seuss Bookville onboard Carnival Horizon, located on Deck 11, midship. Bookville is packed with multiple copies of every title from Dr. Seuss, and it's decorated with bright colors and large murals of the author's most-famous characters. Seating is on chairs and beanbags and ottomans of every size and shape. It's not uncommon to find parents reading to their children from The Lorax or Fox in Socks, here, or during hosted story time.
Bonsai Teppanyaki is an off-shoot of the already familiar Carnival Bonsai Sushi. The hibachi-style eatery offers social dining experiences in a lively atmosphere. She was christened by Queen Latifah in May 2018, and then, following its transatlantic crossing, the ship took to Caribbean sailings, where it remained in the region for the next few following years.
You'll find faux palm trees and bright yellow umbrellas, along with some of the best views from the ship. It's away from the action of the Beach Pool area, so it really is quiet and far less busy. The Havana Cabana suites sleep up to four guests and are all decorated in a Cuban style. The private outdoor lounge offers deck chairs and a hammock, but you also have access to the Havana Pool area.
When guests in the other room were talking they could clearly be heard through the adjoining doors. Thankfully our neighbors weren’t party animals and didn’t spend much time in their room, so the noise wasn’t bad. There were a number of things you’d expect in the cabin, including a flat-screen TV with remote, in-room safe, a controllable thermostat, a mini-fridge, telephone, and a full-size closet for hanging clothes. Another big complaint on other Carnival ships is the lack of self-service laundry facilities, but the ship actually has a few of these scattered across the vessel.
